Moose Lodge, 6-Year-Old Patient Give Stuffed Animals

Northwest EMS recently accepted the donation of stuffed animals which will be placed in the ambulances and given to children who are transported by our ambulances.

One of the donations came from a local resident, six year old Violet, who was recently transported by ambulance, not once, but twice, this summer.  During one of those rides, the ambulance crew presented Violet with a stuffed animal (a cat).  Her grandmother shared that the stuffed animal brought Violet great comfort.  “The first thing ...

Northwest EMS Presents Educational Scholarships

Northwest EMS recently awarded three educational scholarships to students in the Manheim Central School District.  The scholarships are awarded annually through the Robert C. Stirling Scholarship fund in memory of Mr. Stirling.

The company presented $1,000 scholarships to Kierra Metzler, Kyla Logan and Kaitlyn Berkheiser.

Metzler is a 2014 graduate and plans to attend the Pennsylvania College of Health Sciences to study nursing, Logan graduated in 2014 and plans to begin studying for a career in nursing at HACC.  Berkheiser is a 2011 ...
