Penn Township and Pleasant View Retirement Community will celebrate Penn Township Community Day on Saturday, May 3, at 544 North Penryn Road, Manheim.
Food, entertainment, games, craft displays, bargain tables, miniature horses and much more will be available throughout the day, including interactive displays for guests to learn more about the services available in the community. Northwest EMS will be on site, along with other local first responders, and Northwest EMS will offer the CHIP Child ID in partnership with the Pennsylvania Masonic Youth Foundation.
The event will be held, rain or shine, from 9 a.m. until 2 p.m., with a 5K run beginning at 8 a.m. Proceeds from the 5K will benefit the Pleasant View Benevolent Care Fund (register at www.runsignup.com), and, as in previous years, Pleasant View will be collecting food throughout the day to be donated to the local food pantry.
