Within 3 – 5 minutes following collapse from sudden cardiac arrest, a victim’s brain will be depleted of oxygen and their chances of survival are very low. And in the event of a traumatic hemorrhage, a victim can bleed out in as little as 3 minutes! These numbers are staggering, but with bystanders rendering care in those precious, few moments prior to the arrival of an ambulance, victims can and do survive!
