Northwest EMS Announces The Line Of Duty Death Of Paramedic Douglas H. Zima.

It is with deep regret that Northwest EMS announces the untimely death of Paramedic, Douglas H. Zima. Doug passed suddenly on May 30, 2020, in the line of duty, while participating in operations on an EMS call. He died while doing what he loved, caring for others as a paramedic. He was a loving father and husband, and a loyal friend. He will be missed by all of those whose life he touched in his 68 years.

Northwest EMS Celebrates National EMS Week 2020

National EMS Week occurs annually during the third week of May. The week-long tribute is an opportunity to celebrate the life-saving work of EMS providers.
