Breaking Ground in Manheim

Groundbreaking for the new Northwest EMS station on West Colebrook Street in Manheim was held May 21. It was attended by members of the capital campaign committee, elected officials, Manheim residents and NWEMS board members.
Over the coming months, representatives of NWEMS will be making presentations to service clubs and other community groups. If your group would like to learn about the project, call 665-2904 to request a presentation. A letter will be sent to Manheim area residents this summer ...

EMS Week Open House May 20

Northwest EMS will open its doors to visits by area residents on Wednesday, May 20, 3 to 5 p.m. at 380 W. Bainbridge St., Elizabethtown.

EMTs will provide blood pressure screenings, emergency health-related information, CPR practice and a chance to see the equipment inside an ambulance.

The open house coincides with National EMS Week, when emergency providers demonstrate the life-saving capabilities they bring to the community.
