Narcotic addition is an epidemic in our communities and touches nearly every family.  Medically prescribed narcotics are often the beginning of an addiction with 40% of school-aged students reporting that they are being introduced to narcotics that are medically prescribed and accessible to them in the home.
The answers are not easy, but locking all narcotics and medications out of the reach of children is a start, along with community resources that can help someone on their journey of recovery.

Support Our Annual February Food Drive

According to the Central Pennsylvania Food Bank and Feeding America: Map the Meal Gap, more than 52,000 individuals in Lancaster County are considered “food insecure”. That’s 1 in 10 persons. For children; the number is 1 in 6. Many families in Lancaster County (62%) admit to having to choose between paying for food and paying for medicine or healthcare, and 45% admit to having to choose between paying for food and paying for rent/mortgage.
