Northwest EMS Academy Graduates Their First Class Of EMT Students

In January, 2021, Northwest EMS began offering EMT classes as part of our newly credentialed EMS Academy. The first students enrolled did so as part of a pilot program with Elizabethtown High School. Under the direction of Northwest EMS Paramedic, Ryan Runkel, students received classroom education, practical skills training, and ambulance ride-along opportunities. Help Us Support Child Life Programs!

When a child is admitted to the hospital, it can be a very unsettling experience. One of the ways that hospitals alleviate the anxiety of procedures and unfamiliar surroundings is by providing toys, activities, puzzles and other items that can pre-occupy the child and distract them from their situation. These seemingly small (and inexpensive) items make a huge impact on the well-being of the child. The gesture also gives parents the confidence that their child is coping well.

Northwest EMS To Host Two Trick-Or-Treat Events for 2020

This year we are excited to announce that we will have two opportunities for your children to trick-or-treat with us on Friday, October 30th from 6-8 PM.

As has been a tradition, we will host Teal Pumpkin Allergy-Free Trick-Or-Treat® at our Manhiem Station (60 W Colebrook St) where we will hand out toys and other small items. (There will not be an event at our Elizabethtown Station!) But, new this year, will be our participation in a Trunk-Or-Treat event. ...
