Crews Meet Prior to October 1 Merger

Crew members from Northwest EMS and Manheim Memorial ambulances mingled in two “meet and greet” events recently. The EMTs and medics officially will begin working together on October 1, when the two become one under the Northwest EMS name with the new numerical designation of “86.”

No doubt there will be a few bumps to iron out during the transition, but the residents of northwestern Lancaster County, from Penn Township to the Susquehanna River, will benefit from the expansion of 24-hour Advanced Life Support services based in Manheim.
