Concussion Awareness Program

Concussions are a traumatic brain injury with potentially serious life-long effects and Northwest EMS, in collaboration with the American Trauma Society, is engaged in a Concussion Awareness initiative aimed at educating athletes, coaches and trainers on the risks of concussions and how to identify the signs and symptoms of a concussion.

The initiative is targeted to youth sports leagues. However, we are excited to offer this information to anyone who inquires.  Contact Lori Shenk, Community Outreach Manager for Northwest EMS at 665-2904 or 371-8282 to learn more, or visit the American Trauma Society’s website at www.atspa.org.
