Northwest EMS Presents Educational Scholarships

Northwest EMS recently awarded three educational scholarships to students in the Manheim Central School District.  The scholarships are awarded annually through the Robert C. Stirling Scholarship fund in memory of Mr. Stirling.

The company presented $1,000 scholarships to Kierra Metzler, Kyla Logan and Kaitlyn Berkheiser.

Metzler is a 2014 graduate and plans to attend the Pennsylvania College of Health Sciences to study nursing, Logan graduated in 2014 and plans to begin studying for a career in nursing at HACC.  Berkheiser is a 2011 ...

Hands-Only CPR Results in a ‘Save’

Linda Kay Wolfe (front and center) recently celebrated her successful recovery from cardiac arrest at the Pennsylvania Renaissance Faire where she is a shopkeeper. Joining her were her two friends who started CPR on her and the first responders who came to her aid.

Camp Ladybug Visits E-town Station

Northwest EMS and the Elizabethtown Fire Department recently hosted a field trip from Camp Ladybug. Approximately 60 campers and counselors from the Elizabethtown Community Center participated.

Camp activities included interactive stations where campers learned about EMS response, patient triage, what to expect if they needed an ambulance or the fire department and information on the 911 system.
