EMS Week Open House May 20

EMT Randy Templin points out equipment on an ambulance to visitors at a previous open house.

Northwest EMS will open its doors to visits by area residents on Wednesday, May 20, 3 to 5 p.m. at 380 W. Bainbridge St., Elizabethtown.

EMTs will provide blood pressure screenings, emergency health-related information, CPR practice and a chance to see the equipment inside an ambulance.

The open house coincides with National EMS Week, when emergency providers demonstrate the life-saving capabilities they bring to the community.

Food Drive Is a Success!

Amanda Smith, telecommunicator at Lancaster County-Wide Communications, shows the food donation LCWC gave to our food drive.

Northwest EMS was able to donate hundreds of dollars worth of food to the four local food banks in our primary response area, thanks to the generosity of our employees and local residents. Crews delivered the donations to the food banks on March 4.

Ambulances Pass State Licensing Inspection

They passed Emergency Health Services Federation inspection on February 25 so the 10 ambulances operated by Northwest EMS are licensed to operate for another three years.
